With experience gained from working with William Guppy Paper Merchants in the seventies, Ross Cunningham started Ipax Sales Ltd and together with John Burgess of Inveresk Paper started OPB Paper Sales trading in the early eighties.
While working freelance with H V Beever Ltd and thereafter Ovenden Papers Ltd Ross developed a close working relationship with some speciality printers and a fascination with gilding, foiling and thermography in addition to litho, letterpress and digital printing.
To meet an increasing demand from printers for gilt-rdged invitation cards, Paper Traders Ltd was set up in 2000 (See the current price list for standard sizes of quality ivory cards and matching envelopes).
In addition the printing and edging services, Paper Traders offered a fast-turnaround service and flourished. As Paper Traders name suggests, the main offer was always in trading paper. This carries on, and so an increasingly extensive range of goods and services were now being offered. This has been to the company’s benefit as the invitation and events side of business was, like many others, affected by the recent pandemic.
Always pleased to act in advisory capacity, Paper Traders will help you identify materials and recommend appropriate sources. From edging 500 invitations to ordering palletloads of silk coated boards or packing cases, the order book shows many and varied goods and services. Many recent products supplied include: Self adhesive Printed labels, Digital Carbonless, Wide Format Poster and Inkjet Materials, Correx, Digital Gloss and smooth Uncoated Laser, Cut to size Paper Orders, Edging 480gsm Business Cards and 18 pallets of Corrugated Board for Cartons, A1 A3 and A4 printed menus – a pretty broad spectrum which we are keen to expand further.
Though for obvious reasons there have been few sizeable functions over the last three years we are pleased to let you see some of the printed work we have undertaken in the past and also a view or two of the paper warehouses from which we TRADE PAPER. Remember “PAPER TRADERS LTD”
